"Hold the Mayo" Cole Slaw from Home Sweet Jones:

Dressing
  • 1/4 c plain yogurt
  • 2 tbs apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tsp celery seeds
  • 1 tsp sweetener of choice
  • 1 pinch salt, to taste
Slaw
  • 1/2 red cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 3 medium carrots, shredded or spiralized
  • 2 tbs red onion, thinly sliced
  • 6 green onions, thinly sliced, lengthwise
  • 1/4 c cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. Whisk the dressing ingredients together in a large bowl.
  2. Add the cabbage, carrots, and onions and stir until evenly coated.
  3. Let sit 4 hours or overnight.

Flavored Lemonades

I absolutely LOVE lemonades and fresh fruit.  I went to this wonderful cafe, Ms. Dahlia’s Cafe, with one of my best friends in Brooklyn.  I had the best cucumber lemonade in life!  I immediately went on the hunt to find a recipe.  in my search, I came across a great blog, A Beautiful Mess, that has some amazing recipes for lemonades.  I had to share.  So here you go, enjoy, and I WILL POST MY OWN CREATIONS…after the snow melts.

How is it that I’m on day 21 of the Whole30 and all I want is toast. Like, zero cravings after the first 3-4 days and suddenly I want toast. And cheese. But mostly toast.

Well Fed: Paleo Recipes for People Who Love to Eat

I’ve been slowly but surely cooking my way through this book and I literally can’t recommend it enough. Everything I’ve tried has been fantastic. Tonight I made the Pad Thai and it’s so yummy.

Awesome things about this cookbook:

  • Extremely thorough instructions which makes it fantastic for inexperienced cooks and/or people who are new to Paleo
  • Suggested variations on almost every recipe
  • Beautifully laid out with gorgeous photographs
  • Most people make notes in their cookbook, this one actually has a note section for each recipe
  • An extremely wide ranging, culturally diverse recipe selection

If you’re doing a Whole30 or going Paleo or even if you’ve been Paleo for a while, you should have this book.
